Push On Stud Caps – These all spring steel caps are designed to press fit on the end of an un-threaded round mild steel rod to prevent components assembled on the rod from falling off. Upon installation, the retaining prongs on the inside of the cap dig into the surface of the round rod. We stock parts to fit on 3/16”, 1/4”, and 5/16”. 7/16” and 1/2” OD rod with bright zinc plating, mechanical zinc plating and black oxide finishes. Parts for 5/8”,3/4” OD rod and other sizes are available. More range in sizes are available in a Push On Decorative Style Cap that has a spring steel retaining washer assembled to a decorative Plastic Cap to provide a Plastic Cap look.
