Weld Cups and Base Inserts – These mating components are used as glides or feet typically on Casual Outdoor Furniture made of Wrought Iron, Steel and Aluminum. The Weld Cup is made of steel or aluminum and is typically welded or braised to the furniture leg and a plastic, typically HDPE Base Insert press fits into the weld cup to provide the plastic surface that rests on the floor. They are available in Weld Cups sizes of 1”, 1-1/4” and 1-1/2” ID with the corresponding Base Inserts in 1”, 1-1/4” and 1-1/2” OD sizes. The parts are purchased separately. As the Base Inserts wear out they can be replaced.
